We’re delighted to announce and welcome on board Samuel Hopkins as our new Associate Director at Canal Café Theatre. Sam had the accolade of directing NewsRevue’s sell out, critically acclaimed 40th Anniversary show in Edinburgh earlier this year. Sam will also be directing Canal Café Theatre’s Camp Christmas Cabaret in December.

“Four years ago today I made my professional directing debut with ‘A Poke in the Eye’, written and performed by Georgie Morrell at the Canal Cafe Theatre. To be made Associate Director of the very same venue and to be presenting PlayGroup’s first event ‘LUCKY DIP’ on this anniversary feels like the stars aligning. Over the last four years the Canal Cafe has given me countless opportunities to grow as an artist and work with the most wonderful creative minds. I’m absolutely thrilled to be a part of the team and I very much look forward to developing new and exciting work within the building. “ – Samuel Hopkins
