WELCOME TO THE
CANAL CAFE THEATRE
Award-winning Canal Café Theatre has been perched on the edge of the Regent’s Canal since the 70’s . It is a renowned comedy, cabaret and theatre venue and over the years has helped launch some of the biggest names in Comedy ranging from John Oliver to the League of Gentlemen to Miranda Hart. Other notable comedians to have trodden the boards of the Canal include Eddie Izzard, The Mighty Boosh, Catherine Tate and Dara O’Briain to name but a few. In 2002, an in-house production of Lucky Stiff made history by being the only Fringe Theatre production to be nominated in the Whatsonstage Awards for Best Musical Revival in the same category as the likes of Kiss Me Kate and My Fair Lady in the West End.
Home to Guinness World Record-Breaking NewsRevue and boasting a jam-packed programme of world-class theatre and comedy, this 60 seat theatre is based above the charming Bridge House Pub, which is perfect for pre and post show dining and drinks.
