FLIPPERS
Two mismatched lodgers attempt to renovate a crumbling house while quietly trying to fix their own lives in the process.
A fast-paced, character-driven comedy play about big dreams, bad decisions and unexpected friendship.
Lodgers Karl and Gary have been handed a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity by their elderly landlady: renovate her crumbling London home, sell it on and split the profits. Sounds simple enough – but they’re not exactly the dream team.
Gary’s a micro-managing control freak. Karl’s already spent their non-existent budget on scatter cushions and exotic pets. As the walls (literally) start to crumble around them, it’s clear that flipping a house – and staying friends – might be more than they bargained for.
Flippers is a high-energy, odd-couple comedy packed with fast dialogue, physical gags and heart. Underneath the chaos, it explores themes of loneliness, chosen family and the unlikely bonds that form when life hasn’t quite gone to plan.
This brand-new play is the first live show in over a decade from long-time comedy duo Kyle Eaton & Daryll Sidney, and is directed by Adam Colborne (Ted Lasso). Perfect for fans of Bottom, Peep Show, or anyone who likes their comedy with heart, chaos and a decent amount of DIY disasters.
