WUMMY

A 31 year old woman becomes a social climber in an attempt to break free from her mundane existence.

Charis King: Wummy is a work-in-progress one woman show in a world where yummy mummies reign supreme.

Expect a modern day Bridgerton packed with characters from Charis’ head, inspired by her own experiences as a single thirty-something year old in London; stuck living with strangers and craving financial freedom and glamour. Key character Wummy transforms her appearance and becomes a social climber, in an attempt to break free from her mundane existence.

Charis is an actress who used to feature on BBC Radio Kent as Granny Claris in ‘Grannadvice’ on Steve N Allen’s comedy show. She also appeared on Pat Marsh and Erika North’s morning show, wrote sketches for Leo Ulph on BBC Radio Kent’s Upload program and was selected to perform in the BBC Upload Festival’s comedy tent as two characters featured in this show.
